In the wake of a tragic incident that claimed the lives of 17 people believed to be Haitian nationals in Bahamian waters early Sunday, Opposition Senate Leader Darren Henfield yesterday called for countries in the region to work in tandem with the Haitian government to encourage Haitian nationals to remain at home and not risk their lives at sea on dangerous and often perilous journeys in search of a better life.
