While pointing to a “considerable” disparity in expenditure and revenue annually, Public Hospitals Authority (PHA) officials yesterday encouraged Bahamians to pay their bills at public hospitals and clinics, noting that healthcare is not free.
Authority chairman Andrew Edwards was unable to provide an estimate of how much public healthcare facilities lose.
