1 out every 3 homes in Hawaii has solar panels. This accounts for 14% of the state's power. This is up from just 6% in 2014.

It took them 8 years to increase by 8% but BPL's target is to be at 30% in 8 years from now. Considering we currently have less than 1% today while the government continues to offer no real incentives, it seems highly unlikely we will hit this target on our own.

But maybe that's their plan all along, to entice a foreign investor to do it for us.
