Here's our real world data: Before getting solar with batteries and an electric car, we were spending roughly $200/mth on gas and $175/mth on electric bills for a total monthly expense of $375. Now we spend $0/mth on gas and $125/mth with BPL (see attached bill for this month). That's a savings of $250/mth.
This makes our payback period 6 years. This has been an excellent investment!
