The Rotary Clubs Fun Run/Walk event was a huge success this morning. It was great to see a huge contingent from the Royal Bahamas Police Force running in the event. The race was from Goodmans Bay to Starbucks on Cable Beach and back... Roughly 4 miles.

There was an African guy who blew out the entire field but a few of the Policemen weren't far behind.. I was a bit surprised at the start when entire police squad basically broke out into a sprint. I started towards the back of the pack to avoid the crowd. My pace was pretty consistent throughout, though it was a bit faster than normal. I glad to say that I completed the race without stopping, even passed up a few policemen along the way..

The coolest part was when we were along walking towards the starting line and the police marched while singing a cadence.. With so many police sounding off in unison, the sound resonated throughout the entire field...

Overall it was a good showing by the various Rotary clubs and the RBPF...
